I try to install a door and firplace tiles outside the fireplace opening falls on a 1 / 4 inch and not alowing me to enter into the bob to hang the fireplace doors.

You may have to take an angle grinder with a fine ceramic blade on to. Hopefully the door will overlap the cut edge that you need, or grind the tiles.
